The CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) certification was received from APICS, but it did not excite me so much as it should be. In the examination, you knew that you are capable to pass the examination; in the examination, you knew that it's the last supply chain- or management-related certification you pass.
Someone is always asking what are the differences between the certification provided by Taiwanese and foreign (especially from the United States) organizations.
Maybe the most difference is the level of systematic thinking, foreign certification organizations provide you the hints, the scope and as well as the body of knowledge (BOK) so that you know the structure and boundary of the examination you are going to facing at, you know what kind of knowledge you should have. Taiwanese organizations provide you the "title of the examination" only, questions may totally different between two consecutive examinations which confuse candidates about the whole examination.
From the Taiwanese examination, it is even much difficult to test the understanding of related knowledge of the candidates due to the poor way of the examination itself. That's why I do not take the certification provides by Taiwanese organizations anymore.
To the examination, if someone asks if it is helpful to the routing job. I may say that it depends on everyone but it really broadens someone's scope of view.
After obtain CFPIM and CSCP from APICS, PMP from PMI, CEI and CEM from SME, you really know that you will not pay anymore to those management-based certifications, they are all the same and it's known that you are solid enough to judge most of the things from operations perspectives.
